What I know for sure…

Is my path in life has been a difficult one but it’s taught me that the Universe provides us with everything we need to live a healthy vibrant life.  Even our challenges, whether we want to believe it or not, are there to help us grow and expand in ways we never thought we could.  When we are oblivious, unwilling to see or are avoiding those lessons the Universe shakes our world to it’s core so that we wake up.  Once we fully commit and boldly step into choosing to live a healthy vibrant life, we become in alignment, miracles occur and Universal forces support us.

I also know nature provides us with the tools to nurture our Mind, Body, and Spirit by way of vibrant fruits and vegetables, plant allies, and even the molecules found in the air when we are near the ocean, a waterfall or in the mountains and forest.  I’d like to help you take your first steps to taking responsibility for your own wellbeing. Being an HSP (Highly Sensitive Person)

I recently became aware of what being an HSP is all about. Before I thought HSP’s were those known to be psychics and mediums, you get my drift.  I’ve always known I feel more than most…I pick up on others emotions, and the energy in a room etc, I don’t predict the future, but I am incredibly sensitive to the world around me.  Through self-discovery and self-awareness, I realized that being an HSP I have to take the good with the bad. I also discovered I have much to learn about having healthy boundaries. Due to the lack of them, I am easily overwhelmed, get depleted around others and in some instances I’ve been easily taken advantage of.  So, though it’s been difficult, I’m courageously slowly putting myself out there in the social media world; what I’ve come to realize is there’s really very little I can’t do if I find a way to do it in my own style.  That’s even despite being an HSP who also struggles with anxiety, that just adds another layer to navigate through, that’s all.  If you are one of the few, then you know how challenging and debilitating this can be.  Well, I’m here to tell you, you are not alone, there is very little you can’t do, if you too find your own style!  On this blog I share how I navigate life now.  Here are some of the ways I found to thrive vs just survive…

Through Energy Work…

To me Energy Work is a way to help us balance the systems of energy located throughout our bodies.  We are made of energy, working with these subtle energies allows us to be in a state of physiological homeostasis assisting in alleviate stress and other ailments.  Though there are many different modalities available, like Reiki, acupuncture etc.  The main purpose of Energy Work is to restore or realign our subtle vibrations to assist us in becoming balanced again in Mind, Body and Spirit.  I’ve learned to integrate various types of Energy Work on my journey, here are a few…

Reiki and Acupuncture…

Though different types of modalities, these are related in which they help move energy blocks within the body.

Crystals…

As minerals from the Earth, they contain different energetic properties of vibrations from the Earth.  They can be used as a way to attune the vibrations in our bodies that need their individual support.  I love working with crystals and have created many pieces of healing jewelry for myself and others.  For example, one of my favorite crystals and one I use a lot in my healing journey is Rose Quartz the stone of self love and compassion, it helps balance the energies in a broken heart.  Another favorite of mine is Moonstone, it holds the feminine energy of the moon, carrying much sacred healing energy for women. Smudging…

I learned this practice while living on an Indian reservation in Colorado, where I was introduced to Native American spirituality. It’s the practice of burning sacred plants to clear away negative energy as it cleanses your Aura (energy field).  I was taught to use White Sage and clear and cleanse not only myself but my Sacred Space and home.  I also use Palo Santo, which means “stick of the saints”.  This is used by South American Shamans and has become one of my favorites.  I say a prayer when ever I cleanse and clear with these plant allies, to assist me or the space in releasing what no longer service us.

Breath and Body work…

Through the use of breath work, known in Ayurveda as Pranayama and body poses known as Asanas, they can helps us balance and restore our Mind and Body.  There are other body and breath work modalities like Yoga, Qigong and Tai Chi to name a few.  A wonderful body movement I learned this year is Qoya, a movement system based on the idea that through movement we remember.  It’s helped me learn how to tap into my own body wisdom and become more embodied.
